London trip for BSSA members

The British Shops and Stores Association is hosting a trip to London's Marylebone and the West End shopping district for retailers, including non-members, in October.

In the past, the BSSA has organised trips abroad for members to get inspiration from retailers in international markets. This year the BSSA has opted to visit Marylebone High Street and other West End retailers on the back of the opening of Westfield shopping centre in White City, London.

The BSSA trip will take place between October 28-31 and includes tours of department stores Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason, Harvey Nichols, Westfield shopping centre and Marylebone Village. BSSA chief executive John Dean said he also hopes to arrange visits to Aquascutum and Vivienne Westwood.

"The event is a great opportunity for those running fashion businesses to network and learn from some of the best," he said.

Those interested in joining the party should contact Sue Howe at, or telephone 01295 712 277.
