Londonedge to launch new skate inspired trade show

Streetwear trade shows Londonedge and Londoncentral will launch a new show next season after overseas attendance increased to 45% at its latest edition.

Overseas attendance for the trade shows, which took place from February 6 to 8 at Olympia’s National Hall in London, increased to 45% with visitors travelling from 38 countries. Visitors from France made up the highest number of overseas attendees with a 50% surge in visitor numbers.

The new Ledge Show will run concurrently with Londonedge and Londoncentral from September 4 to 6 and will focus on clothing and footwear for the skate and adrenaline sport lifestyle market. It will take place in the gallery level of Olympia’s National Hall. Alongside the exhibitors the show will also feature a skate park and gaming area.

Managing director Carole Hunter said: “Skatewear has a natural synergy with much of Londonedge and Londoncentral and has been a growth sector in recent years. We now feel that building on this by launching The Ledge Show will offer the market a much-needed London based platform with a new perspective.
