Loraine Woodhouse joins John Lewis board

Loraine Woodhouse will join the board of John Lewis on December 1 as acting group finance director, taking over from Helen Weir.

Woodhouse has been a director in the department store’s group finance team since August 2013. She was previously finance director of Hobbs.

John Lewis announced on November 17 that current group finance director Weir had tendered her resignation with a six-month notice period.

Weir will step down from the board on December 1 and commence gardening leave on January 30, 2015, before joining Marks & Spencer as chief financial officer. She will hand over various projects related to her role to Woodhouse, “ensuring a smooth transition”.
