Lifestyle brand Lotus Originals is to open a 4,800 sq ft flagship store on Regent Street this year ahead of expansion via internatioanl franchise stores.
The store at 52 Regent Street is scheduled to open after spring. It is located in a retail unit in a Grade II listed building where a luxury five star hotel will also open in time for the Olympics.
The brand, owned by the car company Group Lotus, said it is looking to open a number of Lotus franchise outlets in high profile locations across the globe.
The flagship store on Regent Street was acquired by property company Cushman & Wakefield.
Duncan Gilliard in the Central London retail team at Cushman & Wakefield said: “The heritage of the Lotus Originals brand and quality of products fit perfectly with the history and calibre of Regent Street. This new global flagship store is another example of the continuing improving tenant mix at the southern part of Regent Street as well as of another international brand opening in the Capital in time for the Olympics.”
