Luella Bartley joins Calvin Klein Jeans as head of design

Calvin Klein Jeans has appointed Luella Bartley as head of global design, tasked with creating a cohesive vision for the brand.

Bartley is co-founder and co-designer of womenswear brand Hillier Bartley and was previously head of women’s ready-to-wear design at Marc by Marc Jacobs.

She owned her own eponymous line for over 10 years until 2009.

She received the British Fashion Council’s Designer of the Year award in 2008, as well as an MBE in 2010, and is known for her successful collaborations with brands such as Mulberry and Target.

Bartley will report directly to Pieter Mulier, creative director of Calvin Klein, and Franck Belochi, president, Calvin Klein Jeans Europe.
