Luke steps into footwear

Menswear brand Luke will launch its first footwear range for spring 09, with 12 styles featured in the collection.

Known for its design-led, casual pieces, Luke’s expansion into footwear will consist of three ranges, including trainers, casual shoes, and formal styles. The line has been developed with Stephen Gill, former Boxfresh managing director and ex-head of footwear at Ben Sherman.

On its three trainer styles the brand has put its own stamp on a modern staple, with leather uppers and the Luke lion logo embroidered on a monotone colour palette.
Casual shoes come in muted shades from sand to black, in soft nappa leather and suede, while half brogues with welt-stitched soles in red provide a twist on a British formal look in brown and black. All styles have the lion crest on the undersole.

Prices start at £26 for trainers and £42 for formal styles. Call 01296 738591 for information.
