Lululemon ups full year expectations as revenue soars

Revenue at Lululemon soared by 25% to $723.5m (£555m) in the second quarter of this financial year, driven by a strong performance online and growth in its men’s business.

It now expects full year revenue to be between $3.19 bn-$3.24bn (£2.4bn- £2.5bn), up from previous expectations of between $3.04bn and $3.08bn (£2.3bn-£2.2bn).

Ecommerce sales jumped by almost 50% and the Canadian athleisure brand said online growth in China, where it launched a WeChat store earlier this quarter, had been particularly strong.

Lululemon plans to launch ecommerce sites in Korea and Japan over the next few months.
