LVMH 'to launch new ecommerce platform’

French luxury goods group LVMH is reported to be readying the launch of a new digital platform to host all of its brands, as well as other luxury labels not owned by the firm.

Sources told Reuters the platform aims to boost the visibility of the various LVMH brands, which include Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Loro Piana, Céline, Fendi, Christian Dior, Emilio Pucci, Kenzo, Givenchy, Thomas Pink, Nicholas Kirkwood and Marc Jacobs.

The move will be led by former Apple Music executive Ian Rogers, who joined as chief digital officer in October 2015. It is expected to go live in a few months’ time, sources told the news service.

LVMH declined to comment.
