Lyle & Scott managing director steps down

Derrick Campbell has stepped down as managing director of contemporary fashion brand Lyle & Scott after eight years at the helm.

His departure comes after a year of restructuring at the business, which has resulted in the appointment of several key senior managers and directors “to facilitate its global ambition and continue its strong profitability”, the company said.

Lyle & Scott owner Sue Watson praised Campbell for being “a fundamental part of the brand’s growth” during his tenure.

“I have full confidence that the incumbent board and their new teams will drive the business to a new level after an encouraging autumn 2013 wholesale performance and exciting spring 14 product development and the brand’s incoming 140 year birthday,” she added.
