Missoni has appointed Margherita Maccapani Missoni as creative director of its M Missoni diffusion line.
Heiress to her family’s fashion house, Missoni previously designed for the brand and is returning to the business after spending a few years pursuing a modelling and acting career.
The M Missoni spring 20 collection will be the first under her creative direction.

Together with her natural understanding of style and her forward-thinking creative capacities, she also proved to be an authentic and successful communicator of the house codes. I am confident that Margherita’s talents will make M Missoni a relevant brand for the years to come”.

Founded in 1998, the M Missoni brand has turnover of more than €50m (£44.3m) and more than 700 points of sale in 60 countries worldwide.
