Thomas Burberry has opened its first mono-brand store, in Madrid. The 1,700sq ft, single-floor store showcases the full womenswear, menswear and accessories collections. Owned by Burberry, the label targets young urban customers and is overseen by Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey. It wholesales to 40 UK independents and department stores including Selfridges, Urban Outfitters and Williams & Griffin. Madrid is the first of a planned store roll-out programme.
