Mahabis expands into clothing with loungewear debut

Slipper brand Mahabis has branched out into clothing with the launch of a new range of men’s and women’s loungewear and outerwear.

The firm has revealed designs for a 40-piece collection that includes sweaters, lounge trousers and outerwear.

Prices range from £39 for a short-sleeved T-shirt to £199 for a water-resistant jacket. The line is manufactured in Portugal.

The new range launched online over the Easter weekend. It features light elastication within the fabric, and minimalist design details including ribbing on the inside cuffs and ankles.

Its signature piece is an “open sweater” –  a zipped sweatshirt with hidden pockets.

Joe Cooke, head of product at Mahabis said: “We set out to create a collection of loungewear that you’ll want to wear everywhere, and that you can. Our customers love the comfort of our slipper range, and there has been a huge demand for comfortable, stylish apparel to match.

“Our clothing is all manufactured in Portugal, like our slippers, and we’ve gone to considerable lengths to ensure every detail, fabric and style is considered for ultimate comfort and versatility. We’ve carefully selected technical materials that combine a soft-touch and subtle stretch for ease, practicality and style.”
