Man stabbed at Westfield London

A man has been stabbed at Westfield London shopping centre this afternoon.

Police officers and London Ambulance responded to a call at the shopping centre today and discovered a man in his 20s suffering stab injuries, the London Met Police said.

“He has been taken to hospital - an initial assessment states this is not life threatening,” confirmed a spokesman. “Two males have been arrested in connection with this investigation.”

The Met Police said the incident is not terror related.

A spokeswoman for Westfield confirmed there has been an incident and it is assisting the police. The centre is open with a small area cordoned off, she said.
