Spanish retailer Mango has confirmed the launch of its plus size fascia Violeta, first revealed by Drapers last month.
The new retailer will initially launch in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, Russia and Spain – Mango’s seven largest markets - with 50 stores due to open in the first half of 2014. A further 50 will open in the second half, with retail outlets measuring around 350 sq m.
There is no word yet on when it will roll out to the UK, although Mango said it planned to roll the sub-brand out to existing stores “consequently” to the initial launch phase.
It will also be available online.
The brand will target young women sized 12-24, and has a team of 40 dedicated to producing “on-trend products in a comprehensive collection of clothing and accessories for any moment of the day”.
The collection, which launches on 15 January, will initially comprise 400 pieces, to which new garments will be added in order to offer new products every month.
