Manitobah Mukluks appoints overseas distribution agent

Canadian winter boot brand Manitobah Mukluks has appointed new sales agency Impact Group to handle its international distribution, to markets including the UK.

The news comes as it emerges that Paul Silvertown has left his role as vice president for global sales at Canada Goose to set up Impact Group, which is based in Toronto.

Before joining Canada Goose in 2006, Silvertown led US and European sales at Canadian clothing business Pegasus Shirt Company, which he co-owned.

He will lead Manitobah’s sales and distribution operations outside of the US.

Manitobah chief brand officer Josh Fine said: “Paul is a Canadian brand pioneer who understands iconic products that offer both function and fashion. His track record in bringing Canada to the world will provide a huge lift to our global ambitions.”

Manitobah was founded in 1997 by entrepreneur Sean McCormick. It is stocked online and through retailers including Nordstrom, Cabela’s and Gravity Pope.
