German womenswear brand Marc Cain has invested €35m (£26m) in building a new logistics centre and will take its distribution in house from November.
The mostly-automated centre, located at Dörnlestraße 1 in Bodelshausen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, will bring a warehouse, offices, packaging, returns and quality control under one roof and will allow the company to be able to turnaround more stock faster as a result. An adjacent building will house a dispatch warehouse, with a capacity of 500,000 hanging items.
It will add to Marc Cain’s current head offices, also in Bodelshausen. None of Marc Cain’s existing sites will close.
