Marigay McKee is leaving Harrods to join Saks Fifth Avenue as president, Drapers has learned.
Asked about the proposed move today after the Burberry show at London Fashion Week, McKee said she could not comment and referred Drapers to the Harrods press office.
Her starting date could be as soon as November 1, according to sources in the luxury sector, although Harrods did not respond to requests for information.
McKee has been at Harrods for 15 years, and has been chief merchant of the luxury store business since 2011.
Saks’ parent group Saks Incorporate was recently bought by Hudson’s Bay Company in a deal worth $2.9bn £1.89bn.
