Menswear group Moss Bros has appointed Tesco head of marketing for clothing Sean Murray as head of marketing and visual merchandising.
Murray, who will join the business on July 14, will be responsible for developing a brand communication strategy for the group, repositioning the Moss brand and refocusing the ecommerce business.
Chief executive Philip Mountford said: “We are delighted Sean is joining us. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be key to the repositioning of Moss and the promotion of the business.”
Moss is repositioning to target a more fashion-conscious shopper concentrating on brands such as French Connection and CK by Calvin Klein.
Chief executive Philip Mountford told Drapers recently that the group’s improved performance in the first quarter was driven by sales of these brands.
Murray will report directly to Moss Bros group trading director Ciaran McCloske.
