Marks & Spencer appoints head of kidswear buying

Marks & Spencer has appointed Cath Kidson’s Michelle Ojulah as its new head of kidswear buying.

Ojulah, who has been head of kids at Cath Kidson since 2011, joins M&S on 25 June and will report into womenswear and kidswear director Jill Stanton when she starts in July.

Current head of kidswear buying at M&S, Carla Paterson, has moved to the menswear department.

Ojulah previously worked at Boden for five years as a senior buyer, Monsoon Accessorize as a senior buyer and Asda’s George as a buyer.

An M&S spokeswoman said: “M&S clothing is transforming and we now have the right leadership team in place to get on and deliver change. We’re excited that Michelle is joining to bolster our kidswear team. She brings a track record of success in an area that’s a real focus for us as we work to become more relevant for busy mums and dads”.
