Marks & Spencer signs branded footwear deal

Marks & Spencer has teamed up with British footwear company Walsh in a move that will see the chain sell branded trainers for the first time.

The eight-piece footwear partnership reinforces Marks & Spencer’s attempt to improve its fashion offering, having turned a corner with a 1.2% rise in sales for the 13 weeks to March 28.

The deal will also see Marks & Spencer increase the number of products it stocks which are manufactured in the UK.

The trainers will retail at around £110 per pair and be sold under M&S’s Best of British range.
