Designer Mary Katrantzou is to launch a transactional website on November 20.
The online shop will act as the designer’s “first flagship store” and will house the full autumn 13 collection as well as selling 45 exclusive, limited-edition pieces from Katrantzou’s debut resort collection for spring 14.
The site has also been designed to build brand awareness and create a “community” for shoppers with sections dedicated to imagery, press, news and events, and a live stream of social media channels.
Katrantzou said: “The site needed to be interesting from both a commercial perspective and an awareness perspective. The most important thing for me is that whoever visits the site can interact with it and that there is the depth of information to allow our costumer to explore my work in a curated space”.
For the design of the site, Katrantzou worked with New York web design agency King and Partners, and collaborated with artist and photographer Nicholas Alan Cope.
