Mary Portas unveils charity shop at Westfield London

Retail guru Mary Portas opened the doors to her Living & Giving charity shop this morning at shopping centre Westfield London.

The Living & Giving store, which operates as a charity shop to raise money for various charities, including Save The Children, opened in Westfield London’s luxury area this morning to a queue of fashion hungry shoppers.

Celebrities and industry figures including Brix Smith-Start, co-owner of London designer boutique Start, TV personality Holly Willoughby and luxury brand Mulberry donate designer clothing and accessories to the store.

Portas is championing the practise of recycling clothing and opened the store with Westfield London managing director Michael Gutman this morning.

Her new BBC 2 programme, Mary Queen of Charity Shops, aired on Tuesday.
