MatchesFashion recorded its largest single app order for £94,000 over the Christmas period, with total sales increasing by 82% year-on-year for the six weeks ending 8 January.
More than three-quarters (77%) of total sales were outside of the UK, with 145,000 items shipped to 122 countries over the six-week period.
The luxury multichannel retailer said average order values grew 16% and at its busiest, the firm was selling an item every seven seconds.
Mobile sales accounted for half of total sales during the period.
“The move to mobile and app is the driving engine of our growth,” said chief executive Ulric Jerome. “We’ve invested significantly in technology to improve the customer experience and, as we can see, that investment has seen consequent industry-leading growth.”
