Matchesfashion's Richard Johnson to join Mytheresa

Matchesfashion’s commercial director Richard Johnson is to join Mytheresa as chief commercial officer.

He will take full responsibility for all buying and merchandising functions at the luxury etailer from this month and directly reports to president Michael Kilger.

Johnson joined Matchesfashion in December 2015 after three years at the Al Tayer Group as vice president of buying.

Prior to this he spent five years as Harvey Nichols’ head of buying after joining the luxury retailer as senior buyer in 2004.

Tiffany Hsu, buying manager of ready-to-wear at Mytheresa, has been promoted to fashion buying director. She reports directly to Johnson and is responsible for all categories in the buying team.
