British maternity brand Séraphine has opened its second store in Paris, one year after it opened its first shop in the city.
The new 1,000 sq ft store near the Champs-Elysées is Seraphine’s ninth. Founded in 2002, the brand now has stores in London, Dubai, New York and Hong Kong. A third Paris store is planned for 2019.
Celebrity fans include the Duchess of Cambridge, and actresses Halle Berry, Jessica Alba and Thandie Newton.
The brand’s Paris-born founder, Cecile Reinaud, said the prospect of Brexit had not made international expansion less likely: ”Our ambitious international growth plans are not deterred by slow Brexit negotiations. I remain confident the clothing sector will not be hit by new export taxes into Europe and, with a strong euro against the pound, it makes it attractive to grow our business on the continent.”
Filings at Companies House show Séraphine’s turnover for the year 2 April 2017 was £15.87m, up from £13.78m in 2015/6.
