Matthew Williamson appoints new chief exec

Former Nicole Farhi managing director Niki Scordi has been promoted to chief executive of British designer label Matthew Williamson.

Scordi joined the brand in March as managing director but in her new role she will spearhead the next phase of its growth. She left Nicole Farhi in May last year after four years at the brand.

Matthew Williamson will continue as president and creative director. Current chief executive Joseph Velosa will become chairman.

Scordi said: “We will continue to extend the brand’s presence globally, through both fashion and related product ranges. I look forward to working closely with Matthew and Joseph to realise the brand’s vision.”
