Matthew Williamson has launched his first capsule menswear collection for spring 10 and intends to expand the line each season.
The collection includes cashmere jumpers, printed and beaded t-shirts and printed scarves using natural fibres and will be sold through Harrods menswear designer department, as well as the Matthew Williamson flagship stores and online boutique from February 2010.
Key pieces include an electric blue cashmere jumper with contrasting purple v-neck stitching and a t-shirt with a paisley-inspired beaded beetle print in a range of colourways.
Matthew Williamson said: “I wanted to start a menswear line of slim-fitting, luxury cashmere jumpers in a range of great colours. I know these jumpers will become season-less staples in my own wardrobe. Cashmere and silk printed scarves and hand-beaded t-shirts complement the line and form a solid foundation for the collection to grow next season.”
