Matthew Williamson to celebrate a decade of design with LFW show

Designer Matthew Williamson is returning to London Fashion Week with his spring 08 collection, to celebrate 10 years in the industry. His designs last appeared in London Fashion Week in 2001, after debuting in September 1997. British Fashion Council chief executive Hilary Riva said that Williamson's presence would help to increase the spotlight on LFW. Following the show, the Design Museum in the capital will run an exhibition focusing on the design and process of Williamson's work, featuring several of his key pieces from the past decade. The designer said he would return to showing in New York City from February 2008, with plans to open a second flagship store there early next year.
