Italian clothing group Max Mara Group is ramping up its presence in China with the launch of a new flagship in Hong Kong.
The group, which has more than 300 stores in China since it entered the market in 1988, has opened the Hong Kong flagship in the Central shopping and financial district, according to WWD. The opening marks the group’s 37th store in Hong Kong.
The 4,860 sq ft store is set over two floors and offers the Max Mara, Sportmax, Max Mara, Max Mara Accessories, Atelier and Max Mara Elegante brands.
Max Mara Group chairman Luigi Maramotti told the magazine that the company had seen an average growth of 30% per year in China, the group’s fastest-growing market along with Russia.
It also operates stores in Taiwan and Macau.
