May mulls ethnicity pay gap reporting

Companies may be forced to reveal their ethnicity pay gap under new plans unveiled by prime minister Theresa May.

The BBC has reported that the prime minister has launched a consultation on whether mandatory reporting will help level the playing field for minorities.

Downing Street has said the consultation will allow businesses to share views on what information should be published.

It comes after gender pay reporting was introduced in April this year.
