McArthurGlen to acquire Dutch outlet centre

McArthurGlen has entered into an agreement to buy Rosada Fashion Outlet in Roosendaal, the Netherlands, from Resolution Property.

The purchase of the 247,569 sq ft centre for an undisclosed sum is expected to complete in March.

Rosada Fashion Outlet has 75 shops and 120 brands, including Nike, Puma, Esprit, Gerry Weber, Betty Barclay and Tom Tailor.

McArthurGlen currently manages 22 centres in nine countries and already owns Designer Outlet Roermond in the Netherlands.

Gary Bond, McArthurGlen’s managing director of development, said: “The purchase of the Rosada Fashion Outlet reinforces our acquisition strategy. It forms part of our overall growth strategy, which also focuses on greenfield development and organic growth.”

Rosada Fashion Outlet is 30 minutes’ drive from Rotterdam, 20 minutes from Breda and 30 minutes from Antwerp and Belgium. The centre has a catchment of 18 million within 90 minutes’ drive and has 1,020 car parking spaces.
