Value retailer M&Co has launched a style advice service across its stores following research that revealed women don’t have enough time to find styles to complement their shape.
The service is available across the chain’s 286 stores with customers able to have a free one-on-one style consultation with trained style advisors. The advisors will give advice on what styles suit particular body shapes as well as how people can wear the latest trends.
Carol Birkett, head of retail operations at M&Co, said: “Our research revealed that women are looking to be on trend but are worried that the latest looks will not suit them. Customers often don’t wear the correct cut to suit their shape and don’t feel confident experimenting with new styles or current trends. It was following our research that we made a decision to introduce style advisors to all of our stores.”
She added: “Many women are looking for a store that understands their generation’s style needs so they don’t have to trawl the market looking for clothing. We want them to be able to walk straight into their local M&Co and to easily find the perfect look for them.”
M&Co will have a minimum of two style advisors per store.
