McQ appoints Pina Ferlisi creative director

Alexander McQueen has appointed Pina Ferlisi as creative director of its diffusion line McQ.

Luxury label Alexander McQueen promoted Sarah Burton to the roll of creative director last month to replace Lee Alexander McQueen following his death in February. Ferlisi will work under the direction of Burton on McQ.

Ferlisi has been tapped from outside the business. She joined from US luxury accessories brand Coach, where she was executive vice president, design, and has previously held senior design roles at diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs, luxury womenswear brand Generra and highstreet retailer Gap.
