Meadowhall secures new fashion retailers

Lacoste and menswear brand Skopes have signed leases to open stores at Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield in May.

Lacoste will open a 1,700 sq ft shop and Skopes a 2,300 sq ft store, both on 10-year leases.

The North Face is upsizing to a larger 2,600 sq ft unit in Marc,h and Whistles opened a 990 sq ft shop in December.

Meadowhall completed a two-year £60m refurbishment programme in December 2017.

Ben Grose, head of national leasing at Meadowhall owner British Land, said: “High-quality, well-located retail space plays a crucial role in omnichannel retail, evident by the relationship between online traffic and opening a new store at Meadowhall. New brands, our events programme and the refurbishment have all ensured shoppers continue to visit and enjoy Meadowhall.”
