Meet the Manufacturer to offer informal buyer sessions

British fashion sourcing event Meet the Manufacturer will introduce ‘Meet the Buyer’ sessions in partnership with the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) at its next event in June.

Meet the Manufacturer

Buyers can meet with manufacturers over a traditional English afternoon tea in a dedicated area away from the show floor, for an informal opportunity to discuss UK-made products and services.

Kate Hills, founder and chief executive of Make it British, which organises the trade show, said: “Following feedback after last year’s show, we’re confident that there is a demand for this type of unique workshop. Our close connections with manufacturers, coupled with the UKFT’s extensive retailer relationships, make this the ideal partnership to pioneer something like this.”

John Miln, chief executive of UKFT, added: “We continue to encourage the industry to work collaboratively on restoring production to the UK. The values and purpose of ‘Meet the Manufacturer’ fit perfectly with ours - to bring together fashion industry buyers and manufacturers for an inclusive British networking event.”

The next edition of the event will take place from June 3-4 at Tobacco Dock in London.
