Burlington, the heritage sock brand, is to launch men’s knitwear for spring 09.
The move follows the brand's acquisition by German hosiery and knitwear specialist Falke in April this year.
"The company is working on expanding the brand, with more fashion and accessory items," said UK commercial director Tessa Eles Brown.
The 60-piece men’s knitwear collection will comprise crew and V-neck knits, polo necks and T-shirts in blue, aqua and red.
The sock collection will come with 40 base colours and with the classic argyle pattern available in new colourways. "We will continue with the quality, tradition and timeless modernity, but upgrade it," said Eles Brown.
Prices for cotton socks are £4 and knits range from £15 to £105. The collection is available to view in the brand’s London showroom. For more information contact 020 7493 8442.
