Stitch adds third day next season despite mixed feedback

Stitch hosted 48 exhibitors at Old Billingsgate Market in London on February 14-15. Show organisers declined to release visitor numbers but a spokeswoman said: “We were very targeted about who we invited and it was never a quest for volume but rather for quality. On this we delivered 100%.” She added that an extra day would give buyers more opportunity to visit.

Fenchurch trade marketing manager Karen Campbell said: “We’ve seen buyers from Fenwick, Asos, Harvey Nichols, Bentalls and also great indies like Ace in Leeds and etailers such as Trendstop.com.”

Boxfresh head of sales Mark Underwood said: “Stitch is a first-class offering. It just needs to work at getting more buyers.”

Next season the show will run from June 30 to July 2 - an earlier dateline than this season.
