Menswear and textiles journalist David Harvey died on Tuesday after a short fight against cancer. He was 84.

In a career spanning more than five decades Harvey worked for, among others, the International Wool Secretariat, Hardy Amies, Pitti Immagine, Menswear and Drapers Record.

“I am heartbroken at losing such a gifted man and great friend of our industry, who always wrote so brilliantly on the subject of menswear and much else,”  said David Challinor, former director of the British Menswear Guild.

Funeral details are yet to be announced.

  • A well respected Gentleman who will be missed for his knowledge and great history of all that was great in the Menswear Industry. Another great loss but not forgotten by all who knew him.
