Fashion agent MGM Agencies has signed a global licensing deal with JD Sports Fashion for young fashion brand Henleys.
This is the second deal MGM has signed with JD after inking a licensing deal for Fenchurch in May 2011.
It marks a return to the wholesale market for Henleys, which is currently exclusive to JD. Henleys will be available to stockists from autumn 13.
MGM managing director Marc Ball said the brand would target former stockists such as Shop Direct, building on its 16-year history by retaining a similar look to previous collections.
Ball added: “We are absolutely thrilled to have reached agreement with JD on such a fantastic and well-known brand.”
JD bought the worldwide rights to the Henleys brand last September for £2.6m. In 2011 its 18-store retail arm went into administration, although its wholesale arm was unaffected.
