Hay will report into Cedric Wilmotte, Michael Kors’ president of the EMEA region.

“Jacqueline has been in the strategic business planning and buying sector across a range of product categories for over 20 years and comes to us with a wealth of knowledge, expertise and strong relationships in this space,” said Wilmotte. “She will help us continue to lead our business into the next stage of growth.”

Hay has worked at House of Fraser for seven years, joining in 2009 as buying director. She previously held buying roles at Austin Reed and Marks & Spencer.

Hay said: “I’m delighted to join Michael Kors after working as a close wholesale partner for a number of years. I have seen the huge potential in the company’s future and, as a new member of its European team, I look forward to working together to achieve that potential.”
