Michael Kors names new chief brand officer

Michael Kors has named Francesca Leoni as its new senior vice president, chief brand officer for the brand.

Leoni will report to John Idol, the company’s chairman and chief executive.

Her starting date at Michael Kors is on 5 February next year.

Leoni has worked at Valentino since 2010, based in Rome, where she was responsible for developing and overseeing all global communications initiatives including marketing.

For five years until 2010, Leoni was worldwide PR and events director for Bulgari, and before that she was senior director of PR and cultural events for Hermès.
