Licensee MicrobrandsOne has signed a UK agent and overseas distribution deals for Dunlop Retro and Slazenger Heritage.
It has partnered with agency Red Alert to oversee Slazenger Heritage’s sales for the UK. Red Alert took on the brand, which relaunched for spring 10, for the latter part of the spring 12 season and will be selling the full range for autumn 12.
Slazenger Heritage has 30 UK stockists for spring 12 with plans to up that to 50 for autumn 12. Chris Lee, managing director of MicrobrandsOne, said it would benefit from having a “proper sales agency”, adding: “It allows us to focus more on the product, details and designs.”
Slazenger Heritage will enter Spain and Italy in spring 12 after deals with distributors there, with a bigger push planned for autumn 12. A French distributor will carry collections for spring 12; MicrobrandsOne is also investigating Germany.
Distributor Totally Focused Fashion Brands will manage Dunlop Retro’s UK sales from spring 12. For autumn 11, its debut season, the label was stocked only in Topman and etailer Atom Retro. Lee is hoping to up the number of stockists to 30 for autumn 12. Distributors for Dunlop Retro have been signed in Italy, France and Poland.
