Middlesbrough's Psyche unveils first own-label range

Middlesbrough-based designer store Psyche has launched its first own-label shirt range.

The shirts, which are the first own-label items launched by the retailer, have been made with sateen cotton stretch fabric and will retail for £59.99.

Tailoring specialists at Psyche developed the shirts over a 12-month period. They will be sold in Psyche’s own store and online.

The team is also considering the development of an own-brand suit.

Psyche owner Steve Cochrane said: “It has taken a year to develop this own-brand shirt, which demonstrates our painstaking attention to detail and how good design cannot be rushed.

“The shirt, which comes in different shapes and sizes, is testament to the expertise of our tailoring specialists.”

The news comes as Psyche has more than doubled its range of men’s suits ahead of a “major” refurbishment of its tailoring floor in the next few months.

More than 1,000 suits are now stocked at the store – at prices starting from £99.
