The newly revamped Sunset Walk
It follows a £10m refurbishment of its Sunset Walk area, which was recently completed.
The centre’s co-owner, Hermes Investment Management, will invest a total of £60m over the next three years, aiming to update the shopping centre for the 21st century. The project, entitled ‘Reimagining an icon’, will deliver enhanced digital facilities, an additional car park and further renovations to the centre.
The next phase of the redevelopment will focus on the Deer Walk area of the centre, with work on a new 1,400 space car park also commencing this spring. The investment will also introduce a new centre:MK app, website and social media platforms, as well as enhanced digital signage throughout the centre.
Kevin Duffy, centre director, commented: “Centre:mk plays a significant role regionally as we provide a critical mass and diversity of offer unavailable elsewhere. The investment in the malls, wayfinding, facilities and customer service will collectively allow us to build upon the place making we have created and further improve the space.”
