Miss Selfridge’s creative director Yasmin Yusuf has left the business, Drapers has learned, following the departure of long-standing retail director Gerry Harte at the end of last year.

Drapers understands the business is being run by Miss Selfridge commercial director Julie Alderson, who joined in January 2016.

Yusuf joined Miss Selfridge in 2006. She was previously creative director for womenswear at Marks & Spencer, and spent seven months running East.

Harte exited Miss Selfridge last year after almost 20 years at its parent company, Arcadia Group.

Yusuf’s departure follows that of Craig McGregor, retail director of Topshop/Topman, and Wesley Taylor, managing director of Burton, both of which have been exclusively revealed by Drapers in the last week.

Alderson spent a year as commercial director of Topshop joint venture Ivy Park and previously spent more than six years at Whistles, latterly as commercial director. She was formerly merchandise director at Topshop/Topman from January 2006 to August 2008.

Arcadia has not yet responded to Drapers’ request for a comment.
