Missguided Sale crashes site

Missguided’s website has crashed following an influx of traffic after the young fashion etailer launched a flash 50% off Sale.

The Manchester-based firm launched the Sale at 7am to run until 5pm today, covering all products.

However, a sharp rise in traffic caused the site to go down before lunchtime and the site is now displaying a landing page saying the site is at capacity due to “overwhelming demand”.

New Look’s website crashed last week due to a technical fault. The retailer was running a flash Sale offering 25% off footwear and accessories at the time, athough Drapers understands the Sale did not cause the website to go down. New Look offered shoppers a £10 discount on purchases over £50 for the inconvenience.
