Missguided first to sign up to new Asda delivery service

Young fashion etailer Missguided is the first business to sign up to a new click-and-collect service from Asda.

The ToYou service allows shoppers to pick up and return online orders from third-party brands and retailers, as well as Asda’s own clothing brand George, at any of the supermarket’s 614 shops.

Asda is close to signing deals with other retailers, The Guardian reports, and believes ToYou could lead to 40 million extra customer visits to its shops every year by 2019, taking advantage of its investment in its delivery network.

Ian Stansfield, vice-president of Asda’s logistics and supply chain, said the ToYou service could help to distinguish the company from its rivals: “Getting our big box estate moving again and providing services people will use is really important.”

Asda’s like-for-like sales fell 4.7% in the second quarter of 2015, the worst performance in its history.
