Womenswear etailer Missy Empire has revealed that its sales soared 270% to £3.8m year on year for the five months to the end of May.
The result represent a record first five months of the year for the business, as it remains on track to hit £12m in revenue by the end of the year.
Missy Empire said sales beat its initial forecast for the period by 6%, with denim and tailoring the bestselling lines of the year so far.
Owner Ash Siddique attributed the record sales to the team’s knowledge of the Missy Empire girl: “Sales are soaring because we are focusing on our customers’ needs, and bringing that to the forefront of our campaigns.”
The etailer said customer outreach is set to be scaled further this year with the launch of the brand’s first advertising campaign in August.
