Swedish young fashion retailer Monki is set to join etailer Asos at the beginning of July.
Asos will stock a “substantial part” of the Monki line as well as a collaborative range available exclusively on the site.
The capsule collection aims to “introduce Monki’s coloured prints” to the Asos customer, with “summery graphics ” designed by the label’s in-house studio.
Lea Rytz Goldman, director of operations at Monki, said the expansion would allow customers from around the world to access the label.
She said: “We experience a demand for our brand in markets where Monki doesn’t even exist today, We are really happy to have Asos as a partner to help us expand and offer our unique fashion to all of our fans—and inspire new ones.”
Through the deal, Monki will be able to access consumers in 230 countries on top of the 18 EU countries it sells into through its own online store.
Founded in 2006, Monki currently has 65 shops in Europe, Japan, China and Hong Kong. The H&M owned retailer opened it’s UK flagship on Carnaby street in March last year.
