More board changes at M&S

Marks & Spencer non-executive director Richard Solomons is stepping down from the board.

Solomons will leave on 10 July, after three years at the retailer.

He said: “I joined the board when M&S was entering a critical period of CEO and chairman succession. This evolution has been successfully completed and important senior management changes made. I have enjoyed my three years here but now feel that, with the company in excellent hands, the time is right to move on”.

Solomons was previously CEO of hotel owner IHG. At M&S he was a member of the nomination committee and remuneration committee.
